LONDON — Sportsheets has teamed up with luxury erotic lifestyle specialists Box of Grey, to create “Grey for Selfridges,” a risqué box for the high-end U.K. retail giant.
The box offers a portable playroom of leather accessories and toys in a grey bronze-edged flight case and features one of Sportsheets flagship products, the “Spread the Love Bar.” The Bar features a rigid 15-inch nylon covered bar with four attached adjustable cuffs to accommodate both wrists and ankles.
Sportsheets noted that Selfridges has four locations with its largest being its flagship store located on London’s Oxford Street — the second largest department store in the U.K. after world renowned Harrods. The upscale department store is known for carrying some of the most luxurious brands on the market including Alexander McQueen, Roberto Cavalli, Valentino, Saint Laurent, Burberry, Givenchy, Armani, and hundreds of other high-end brands.
“In the past few years, the spotlight has well and truly been shone on bedroom playfulness. For us as retailers, it’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase a part of the lingerie industry that’s no longer a dirty little secret. Box of Grey has given us a means of doing that in a beautiful, really considered way. This is a true luxury product,” said Emma Pake, lingerie buyer for Selfridges.
“The Box of Grey kit that Selfridges has designed and is now selling is truly an amazingly beautiful product,” Sportsheets President Julie Stewart said.
She added, “Sportsheets has been a leader in BDSM and fantasy lifestyle products in the U.S. for more than 22 years and we are continuing to spread our reach to other foreign markets so people all over the world can enjoy our catalog of more than 400 products that focus on ‘Keeping Couples Connected.’ To actually see one of our products included in such a high-end luxury kit from one of the most esteemed and well known retailers in the world is such an honor. The kit is beautiful in every way and to see a Sportsheets product included in their package truly takes my breath away.”
The Box of Grey is currently available at Selfridges, Oxford Street, London, as well as on its website and retails for £995.
