LAS VEGAS — More porn films are “invading the Vegas valley” and being shot in local neighborhood homes according to a report by a local NBC TV station.
Although it’s not news to the adult industry, the looming mandatory condom Measure B law is apparently quietly pushing production more and more toward Vegas.
The report interviewed Vivid Entertainment chief Steve Hirsch and extra Sarah Jane Woodall who’s been an extra on two Vegas porn shoots. "You never know what's going on behind closed doors especially in this city, so even in a nice neighborhood...," Woodall said.
Hirsch said he’s awaiting the Measure B outcome before contemplating shooting in Vegas because of its proximity to L.A., but noted that it’s an interesting and attractive place for performers to move.
The report also noted that Joanna Angel has Vegas on her production radar.
A number of porn-friendly sound stages and production facilities are also moving east, according to the report.
A follow-up on what porn could mean to the local Vegas economy is scheduled to be broadcast on Oct. 30.
