Stoya, Steven St. Croix Named Official Red Carpet Hosts for 2015 XBIZ Awards

LOS ANGELES — XBIZ is pleased to announce Stoya and Steven St. Croix will be Official Red Carpet Hosts for the industry awards events of the year, the 2015 XBIZ Awards, set for Jan. 15 in Los Angeles.

Stoya, the 2009 XBIZ Best New Starlet, has become one of the most high-profile performers in adult entertainment in recent years, thanks to several mainstream crossover opportunities such as being the subject of a cover story in the Village Voice last year.

St. Croix, the 2013 XBIZ Best Actor and Comeback Performer of the Year who is in his 21st year in the business, has racked up more than 1400 X-rated film credits despite taking a three-year hiatus and returning in 2012.

The duo will welcome the adult industry’s best and brightest to the 13th annual gala which in January will move to L.A. Live for the first time.

“I was honored to be asked to host this year's XBIZ Awards red-carpet arrivals, and I look forward to experiencing just how dapper Mr. St. Croix is,” Stoya said.

St. Croix said the feeling is mutual.

“I'm thrilled as hell to be asked to host this year's red-carpet arrivals,” he said. “Just when I thought Ryan Seacrest was going to beat me out yet again for hosting duties, I can now breathe easier.”

With tongue in cheek, St. Croix added, “Stoya is beautiful and clever and a unique package wrapped up in porcelain skin. I only hope she doesn't file a restraining order against me because it'll be extremely hard to keep my paws off her. But I'm professional and have also built up a resistance to pepper spray, so it should be a fun night all around.”

St. Croix expects to also keep the mood light on awards night, when the industry will gather to honor outstanding achievements in every area of adult entertainment. His quick wit is also on display in his self-published e-book titled “Porn Star: Everything You Want to Know and Are Embarrassed to Ask,” which he released on Amazon.com in 2013.

But St. Croix also has a serious side, which was recognized by the Free Speech Coalition in November 2012, when the industry trade group bestowed its prestigious Positive Image Award on him. St. Croix received the honor due to his efforts to help the industry defeat the Measure B ballot initiative that called for mandatory condom enforcement in porn productions shot in L.A. County.

Stoya, who now resides in New York, has only appeared in about 60 titles since 2007, making each of her new performances an anticipated event for her legion of fans. One such occasion was her sizzling turn in John Stagliano’s “Voracious Season Two” vampire epic this past summer.

And Stoya can also write better than most. In March, she penned an Op-Ed on the issue of Internet privacy for the New York Times Sunday Review. Her mainstream appearances also include being featured on the cover of Arena Homme + for its Autumn 2013 issue with James Deen and an interview on HuffPost Live.

“Stoya and Steven are glamour and class personified,” said Moe Helmy, executive producer of the XBIZ Awards. “We are beyond thrilled to have them host our international guests as they walk the red carpet on Jan. 15.”

Stoya and St. Croix will join XBIZ Awards host James Deen and Official Trophy Girls Keisha Grey and Misha Cross at the 2015 ceremony.

This year’s month-long pre-nomination period led to a record number of submissions in the various award categories. Finalist nominations will be announced next month for the anticipated show that will mark the climax of the XBIZ 360 events series, which gets underway on Jan. 13 at the chic Andaz Hotel in West Hollywood.
