BERLIN — Queer production company TroubleFilms will screen several films at the upcoming Berlin Porn Film Festival, including the premiere of “Fucking Mystic.”
In its ninth year, Berlin Porn Film Festival is running Oct. 22-26 at Cinema Moviemento.
“Fucking Mystic” will screen for the first time ever on Friday at 5:30 p.m., following the Art House Goes Art Porn panel at 3:15 p.m., which TroubleFilms will be attending.
Director Courtney Trouble, performer Chelsea Poe and filmmaker Ajapop collaborated on “Fucking Mystic,” a film about a small town girl who moves to the Bay Area and finds she has an erotic effect on her new surroundings. With more than a nod to cult classic "The Craft," the release is timed to coincide with Halloween.
The feature also stars Daisy Ducati, Sandy Bottoms, Ruckus, B. Nefarious and Trouble.
"Shooting ‘Fucking Mystic’ was really a chance for me to really explore what it takes to turn a queer idea into a really polished product that could be enjoyed by people who haven't seen queer porn before,” Poe said.
TroubleFilms’ “Girl Pile” and “Lesbian Porn Shorts” will also screen twice each during the festival.
“Fucking Mystic” will have an encore screening on Oct. 26 at 1:45 p.m. The film will release on DVD on Oct. 30.
Other notable adult filmmakers being featured at the festival include BurningAngel's Joanna Angel and Pink & White's Shine Louise Houston.
