Entrenue Donates $1,000 to National Kidney Foundation

PHOENIX — After committing to supporting charitable organizations across the country, Entrenue has donated $1,000 on behalf of its most recent raffle winner, Déjà Vu Love Boutique of Vista, Calif.

The retailer entered Entrenue’s drawing at last month’s International Lingerie Show and chose the Sherman Oaks, Calif. chapter of the National Kidney Foundation to receive the winning donation.

Entrenue established its semi-annual raffle several years ago to further promote its dedication to community support and service by inviting customers to enter for the chance to select a special charity to receive a $1,000 donation.

Since the raffle’s debut, Entrenue reports that it has donated thousands on behalf of its customers, and this season’s winner, Melissa Kurbis, chose an organization that was near and dear to her heart.

Kurbis of Déjà Vu Love Boutique experienced the damaging effects of kidney disease when her husband went into full kidney failure and spent three years on dialysis before one of his daughters donated her own kidney to him.

Attending transplant meetings exposed Kurbis to families of those with ill loved ones who could not afford the medication required to sustain a transplant, and now she says she’s set to do what she can to help those in need receive treatment and live healthier lives.

“We’re especially inspired by the stories that many of our customers share with us and the experiences they’ve encountered during difficult times, and we are proud to support them and the charities of their choice,” Entrenue President Joe Casella said. “The National Kidney Foundation is the country’s leading organization dedicated to awareness, prevention and treatment of kidney disease and provides valuable support, education and access to essential tools and services. We are happy to donate $1,000 to a group that has such a close connection to the Déjà Vu Love Boutique and wish Melissa’s family a lifetime of health and happiness.”
