ASACP to Participate in London’s XBIZ EU Event

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its return to London for the annual XBIZ EU conference, scheduled for September 25-28 at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel.

According to its producers, XBIZ EU brings together digital media executives from around the globe for three days of unparalleled symposiums, networking, deal-making opportunities and more. XBIZ EU attracts adult website operators and affiliates, plus content producers and a wide range of service providers in the interactive, mobile, IPTV, traffic and billing sectors, who learn about the hottest profit centers in the European, American and international arenas.

For ASACP, the London event is an ideal venue for delivering its message of responsibility, and to help businesses protect themselves by protecting children.

The promoters of XBIZ EU have generously included ASACP among the show’s sponsors, providing the association with premium banner placement, an exhibition table at the popular Mix and Meet session, an ad in the event’s show guide, an insert in the show’s “swag bags,” and complimentary event registration.

ASACP’s U.K.-based Director of European Outreach, Vince Charlton, will attend XBIZ EU as part of the association’s global outreach program, carrying the message of self-regulation to industry stakeholders. This includes taking proactive steps towards online child protection — using free ASACP services such as the Restricted To Adults (RTA) website meta-label and market segment-specific “Best Practices” and Code of Ethics.

Charlton will also represent ASACP on XBIZ EU’s Age Verification Panel, scheduled for Friday, September 26, at 1:00 p.m.

“Age verification is underpinning many of the recent moves to restrict Internet access, especially in the U.K., so it will be a great opportunity to address this issue at XBIZ EU, which draws professional adult entertainment companies from around the world,” Charlton explains. “ASACP has a voice in the discussions over the future of online age verification, and will use the London event to educate businesses about protecting themselves today to ensure success tomorrow.”
