LAS VEGAS — Representing her growing presence in the EDM community, adult star Nikki Phoenix recently judged the first annual Rehab DJ Battle.
The Battle was held at the Hard Rock Hotel pool along with Chris Cox, Haze nightclub resident headliner Loczi, Las Vegas Strip headliner Ben Harris, morning host Venja Gunn from Old School 105.7, and DJOYbeat’s OHMYGODitsKAT and Deanna Rilling.
The event, which featured not only $3000 in cash and prizes along with bookings at both Rehab pool and Body English nightclub, saw the crowning of DJ Ease as the new champ.
"It was great to be part of an event that promotes up and coming talent,” Phoenix said. “And also support our Las Vegas community. It was an incredibly tough event to judge, because everyone brought their A-Game and they were all so talented. I would like to personally congratulate all of the DJs that participated, and I expect to see big things from all of them in the future!"
In addition, Phoenix also appeared to support one of her favorite charities: Aid For AIDS of Nevada, or AFAN. On Aug. 23, AFAN had their Black and White Party at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel. Phoenix participated in the runway fashion show, by FashionMob, representing Polecats Aerial Fitness.
The Fashion show was entitled "30 Shades of Love" to commemorate the 30th anniversary of AFAN, which was founded in 1984 to provide support and advocacy for adults and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in southern Nevada. AFAN works to reduce HIV infection through prevention education to eliminate fear, prejudice and the stigma associated with the disease.
"I'm very fortunate to be able to donate my time to the two charities that I am passionate about, AIDSand Domestic Violence,” Phoenix said. "Two months ago I was able to participate in a benefit and raffle for The Shade Tree, a battered women's shelter here in Las Vegas, and I'm proud to donate my time and support to AFAN, the oldest AIDS outreach organization here in Nevada. The event, was incredibly successful and I look forward to participating in it again next year!"
