LOS ANGELES — APAC (The Adult Performer Advocacy Committee) has released an open letter to the adult community seeking to host a team to raise money for the 30th Annual AIDS Walk LA set for Oct. 12.
The organization is welcoming members of the adult industry, supporters, advocates, and family members to join the team, contribute a financial donation, or show up and cheer it on.
APAC said it was thankful to hear that AB 1576 recently died in suspension thanks to the united efforts of many people from within and outside of the adult industry, and looks forward to uniting adult industry participants and allies once again to give back to the community together in the AIDS Walk.
”The group wants to recognize that several AIDS support charities and non-profits were proponents of our cause in the fight against AB 1576 and we are excited to seize this opportunity to show our thanks to these groups. We believe in the intrinsic value of both charitable work and rallying together as a unified community,” APAC said.
