Fred Lane to Moderate #SexTalkTuesday Tomorrow

NEW YORK — Author and attorney Fred Lane will serve as special guest moderator of tomorrow's edition of Twitter-based chat show #SexTalkTuesday.

The chat, running from 3 p.m.-4 p.m. (EDT) on Tuesday, will touch on subjects that Lane's an expert in, including child safety, privacy and the impact of emerging technologies on society.

“We’re delighted to have Fred heading up this week’s #SexTalkTuesday conversation,” said Angie Rowntree, organizer of #SexTalkTuesday and owner of Sssh.com, a destination for porn made by and for women.

With each #SexTalkTuesday session, a guest moderator asks thought-provoking questions to a large and active group of participants, who send hundreds of tweets during each round of #SexTalkTuesday.

“Fred’s immense knowledge and easygoing manner make him the ideal person to lead a discussion about some of the controversial issues surrounding how easy it is to access adult content online.”

Lane is the author of seven books, including most recently "Cybertraps for the Young and American Privacy: The 400-Year History of Our Most Contested Right." Lane frequently lectures at colleges and universities around the country, covering subjects ranging from student safety to electronic misbehavior and digital privacy.

“I’m delighted to be hosting #SexTalkTuesday on Tuesday,” Lane said. “We’ll be discussing the issue of underage access to adult materials online, and exploring possible solutions — or whether it’s a problem in the first place. We’ll examine the question: When it comes to watching porn, how young is too young?”

ASACP.org will be sponsoring Lane's #SexTalkTuesday, as well as participating in the show.

To participate in #SexTalkTuesday, go to Twitter.com and use the #SexTalkTuesday hash tag during the hour-long show.
