MIAMI — Top pole performers competed over the weekend for a large cash prize in the "2014 Summer Pole Party" at Tootsie's Cabaret Miami, a 74,000 square foot gentlemen's club.
The competition came down to two tie-breaking rounds between dancers Pyro and Naomi. In the end, it was Pyro who climbed her way to glory and won the $15,000 grand prize, with $3,000 going to second place winner Naomi, and $2,000 going to third place winner, Jungle Jaina.
Athletic Pyro commented, "I started pole dancing after doing martial arts for 10 years. I wanted to try something more in touch with my femininity."
In addition to exotic dancers, the contestants included feature adult entertainers Phoenix Phires, Vayda Kiss and Artemis Moon. DJ Platypus hosted the weekend's events.
The weekend capped off a series of pole dance competitions held across the country at various venues operated by Rick's Cabaret International. Participating spots included Vivid Cabaret New York, Jaguars, Club Onyx and XTC.
"I had so much fun," said Blake, a Vivid Cabaret New York girl. "All the girls were amazing and DJ Platypus is the coolest MC in the world. I didn't win, but I had such an awesome time. I'm already practicing my moves for next year on Vivid Cabaret's pole. It's the tallest in New York!"
Tootsie's Cabaret Miami is one of the Rick's Cabaret International family of clubs.
