VALENCIA, Calif. — Girlfriends Films is throwing its support behind Vice Is Nice, co-sponsoring the adult industry fundraiser for the 5th year in a row.
The animal rescue benefit and casino-themed party will be held on Saturday, July 26; registration is currently open at TheAnimalRescueAlliance.org.
Kelly Holland, an avid animal lover and Penthouse Entertainment’s managing director, organizes Vice Is Nice each year as a way to bring the adult industry together in a philanthropic spirit. She says the event promotes caring and giving.
“We’re hosting our 5th annual Vice Is Nice fundraiser, and Girlfriends Films has been involved from the beginning,” Holland said. “I think they were one of the first sponsors to come on board in year one. Moose and Dan said, ‘Great, how can we be involved’?”
“That’s been Girlfriends Films’ attitude throughout the history of the company, making them one of the great companies in this business,” added Holland. “They are involved in charities inside the adult industry [and] they are always there to help performers and organize around political issues affecting our industry. I’d say much of their success is a reflection of that same engagement with their customers and fans.”
Vice Is Nice will feature a poker tournament and casino games, music, dancing, magicians, tarot card readings, hourly prize raffles and more. Money raised at the event will go to support three animal rescues: Pink Paws, a cat rescue run by a deputy sheriff in L.A. County; Life4Paws, a dog rescue in the San Fernando Valley; FixNation, L.A.’s only free, fulltime spay/neuter clinic for homeless stray and feral cats; and Almost Home Animal Rescue, a San Diego-based rescue.
Girlfriends Films President Moose said, “Each year, Kelly’s Vice Is Nice event shows just how generous and caring our industry can be, and we all have a great time doing it! We’re extremely proud to once again support Vice Is Nice.”
In addition to its annual support of Vice Is Nice, Girlfriends Films turns to its employees, performers, directors and adult industry principals each month to select a charity to support. In 2013, the Girlfriends Films Charity Program donated more than $20,000 to a wide array of philanthropic organizations, from medical institutes to animal sanctuaries.
