Clips On Demand Adds CCBill for Roku Customers

LOS ANGELES — Clips On Demand, an online provider of fetish media, is making its content available through the Roku streaming player, thanks to a deal with Internet Payment Services Provider CCBill.

The Roku distribution system has met with acceptance among adult content producers and consumers,  forming a sustainable business model that is leveraged through CCBill’s processing services.

Clips On Demand has also released a number of new features, including the ability for studios to select where their 15 second preview begins within a clip, an updated admin panel that allows for up to six files to be loaded simultaneously, a dedicated studio owner page with up to 500 characters for producer biographies and multiple options for banner ad placements.

According to the company, each of these additions is proving to be popular with producers, as is the inclusion of CCBill payment processing.

“Having CCBill in our system immediately provides the stability and peace of mind to producers that offer clips, and the consumers that purchase them,” Alfonso Reyes of Clips On Demand stated. “They can rest assured knowing the payments portion of the system is good-to-go.”

Once consumers add the Clips On Demand private channel to their Roku player, they can choose from three subscription options and then pay with CCBill in order to access content.

“As technology changes we are seeing more and more consumers adopt and use newer media devices,” said Gary Jackson, managing VP of sales and Internet markets for CCBill. “While we develop fresh methods and tools for reaching these viewers and other new markets, we are thrilled to be working with innovative companies like Clips On Demand as it develops solutions to meet growing consumer trends.”

Clips On Demand’s private Roku channel features approximately 100 high quality clips, with clips added regularly, though Reyes indicates they are being somewhat selective in order to maintain the integrity of the video quality.

With more than 8 million devices sold in the United States, Roku reportedly enjoys nearly 25 percent of the streaming video market.

Clips On Demand hopes this trend favors the company as it looks to add additional channels and partner with more top producers, who also have the option of opening their own clip store online via the service — making it easier for Roku subscribers to find and purchase the producer’s media.
