LOS ANGELES — Calling it the “Twilight Zone weirdness of all celebrity guest appearances of all time,” former NBA star and international bon vivant Dennis Rodman will be guesting live on Amber Lynn’s “Rock'N'SeXXXy UnCensored” radio show tomorrow at 7 p.m. PST.
The ever-controversial B-ball bad boy Rodman, who had his most recent celebrity incarnation as a WCW wrestling star, will be joing the RNSU crew for a full hour of commentary.
RNSU co-hostess, actress Kristen Renton, who appears in FX's "Sons of Anarachy" as the fictional porn star Ima Tite, will also be there to help with the interview.
“We will make every effort to make sure that not all of Amber's questions are penis or sex-related,” an RNSU rep joked, adding “All kidding aside, Dennis is a lovely man, an emotional man. He's a thinking man, and we want to know what the hell he's thinking about, because he doesn't think like anyone else. He's unique. [He[ struggled up out of adversity to become a basketball star, a court legend. Beyond sports, Dennis has created a persona of individuality and freedom, despite many of life's most dramatic ups and downs. He's a man that's struggled with many of the same issues all of us have. He's a man that looks damn fine in a chartreuse marabou boa and heels.”
Earlier this year, Rodman and other retired NBA players visited North Korea to play an exhibition basketball game. Rodman was criticized for his friendship with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and widely ridiculed after he sang “Happy Birthday” to the son of the infamous former North Korean leader, Kim Jong-il.
In March, Rodman said in an interview that he would not return to North Korea, which has had a strained relationship with the U.S. (to say the least) over the last few decades.
“We personally think all that news about Rodman and North Korea has overshadowed the real man,” Lynn said, noting the beauty of his NBA Hall of Fame induction speech.
Amber Lynn’s “Rock’N’SeXXXyUnCensored” airs every Thursday at 7 p.m. PST on LATalkRadio.com and Stitcher.com. Archives of old shows can be found on iTunes.
