Fleshlight’s New Canadian Operation to Sponsor North by Northeast

TORONTO — Fleshlight has signed on to be the presenting sponsor for the North by Northeast (NXNE) Comedy Festival taking place in Toronto June 18-22.

NXNE is an annual music and arts festival that includes live music, a film festival, a comedy festival, arts components and a digital interactive media conference. In 2014, NXNE marks its 20th consecutive year with an anticipated overall attendance of 350,000. NXNE which began in 1995 is patterned after and partly owned by the South By Southwest Festival in Austin.

Brian Shubin, COO of Fleshlight adds, “We are very familiar with this type of event as we are also based out of Austin so when NXNE approached Fleshlight Canada we saw this as an excellent opportunity to create some brand awareness in Canada. The timing was perfect as we just launched our Canadian ecommerce and distribution center in Toronto/Mississauga a few months ago.”

The company says the sponsorship is part of Fleshlight’s worldwide, ongoing commitment to mainstream marketing and branding opportunities.

“The best part of us being involved with such a mainstream cultural event as NXNE is that they approached us and were very excited of having our product onboard,” Fleshlight Canada’s General Manager Brett Drysdale said. “Our logo is literally plastered all over the city on posters and billboards along with the likes of Samsung, Red Bull, Ford and the Government of Canada just to name a few. Needless to say, the line-up of comedians at the festival also thinks it is pretty cool that Fleshlight is the sponsor.”

Fleshlight also announced that Fleshlight Girl Lisa Ann will be on hand at the event.

“I love Toronto, I love working with Fleshlight and I am a huge comedy fan so this invitation is very exciting for me,” she said. “I can’t wait!”
