Ohmibod Founder Brian Dunham to Speak at Glazed Conference

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — Ohmibod founder Brian Dunham will speak on the panel “Wearables and the Innovation of Sexual Intimacy,” June 4 as part of the GLAZED Conference at The Regency Center in San Francisco.

The Regency Center is located at 1290 Sutter St., in San Francisco.

"Wearables is such a fast moving and exciting segment of the tech sector and we're excited to participate as one of the companies leading the charge in the intimacy and sexual health category," Dunham said

The GLAZED Conference, created by Wearable World, focuses on the innovation, growth and entrepreneurship of wearable technology. It is a curated environment that brings together technology pioneers, founders, executives, influencers and investors.

“Wearables have become the natural step that humanity has taken in order to fully integrate technology into every area of our lives,” said Redg Snodgrass of Wearable World. “One of the largest driving factors of human beings is that we are acutely aware of the pleasure that comes from this type of intimacy. Therefore, it's no surprise that as we integrate with technology that sexuality and intimacy are going to be a huge part of that integration.”

The company also reports it has exceeded its initial goal on the crowdfunding website Indiegogo, with a campaign that will allow individuals to use a smartphone to control their partner’s vibrator over long distances using a Wi-Fi-enabled OhMiBod Remote App.

The device was featured on Techcruch.

OhMiBod combines a state-of-the-art app with designs to give users real-time control over their partner’s vibrator using an Android or iOS smartphone or tablet. The company has announced its first stretch goal of $30,000, which will allow the company to add functionality for users to snap and send pictures while using the in-app sexting feature.

Designed for solo or partner play, users can choose from an unlimited number of vibration patterns using five different control modes: voice-to-vibration, touch control, tap and save, accelerometer and preset patterns. The OhMiBod Remote App will become available for purchase in July 2014.

There is an existing, free version of the OhMiBod Remote App that uses a Bluetooth connection. It was developed for their forthcoming smartphone-controlled line, blueMotion — a next-generation wearable vibrator that received rave reviews following its launch at CES 2014. With the addition of Wi-Fi capability, the OhMiBod Remote App will give users real-time control over their partner’s vibrator whether they’re 10 or 10,000 miles apart. The new app works with all OhMiBod app-compatible pleasure products.
