NEW YORK — Vivid Cabaret New York announced that it will be holding the Grand Finals of its 2014 Pole Dance Competition on Saturday, May 31 at 11 p.m. EST and ultimately crown the Miss Vivid Cabaret New York Pole Dance Champion.
The competition was held over 10 weeks, with the top 10 finalists for the title chosen from more than 500 entrants, one of the event planners said.
"We have so many beautiful and talented performers," said Shaun Kevlin, regional manager for Rick's Cabaret New York and Vivid Cabaret New York. "There was standing room only at the club during the preliminaries, and the crowds loved the girls. Choosing from the final 10 will be difficult and surely a night to remember for anyone who witnesses it."
Miss Vivid Cabaret New York Pole Dance Champion will receive $5,000 in addition to a trip to Tootsie's Cabaret in Miami, home of the tallest stripper pole in North America (30 feet tall).
There she will represent Vivid Cabaret New York in the national pole competition against Tootsie's pole dancers and competitors from across the country, including winners from Vivid Cabaret Los Angeles, Jaguars, Onyx and X-T-C club contests.
The Tootsie's Summer Pole Party will be held on July 25 and July 26, and will award $20,000 in cash prizes. Among the slated competitors are adult entertainers Christina Aguchi, Lacey Rain, Vayda Kiss, Artemis Moon, Phoenix Phires and other well-known feature entertainers.
The three-story club, located at 61 West 37th Street, boasts the city's tallest stripper pole at 25 feet.
