WASHINGTON — The Food and Drug Administration has issued a new advisory warning for MV5 Days, a product promoted and sold for sexual enhancement on numerous websites and in some retail outlets.
FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that MV5 Days contains an undeclared ingredient, sildenafil, the active ingredient in the FDA-approved prescription drug Viagra. The product's labeling says it is made from "natural herbal supplements."
MV5 Days penis pills sell for about $60 for a dozen on selected websites.
"Consumers who have experienced any negative side effects should consult a healthcare professional as soon as possible," the FDA said in an advisory. "Consumers should stop using this product immediately and throw it away."
