OhMiBod Launches blueMotion Indiegogo Campaign, Featured on PCMag.com

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — Following the announcement of OhMiBod’s Indiegogo campaign for the blueMotion Bluetooth-enabled wearable vibe, PCMag.com’s Sascha Segan reveals a patent “problem” with teledildonics.

Compatible with Android and iOS smartphones, the blueMotion massager connects to smartphones via the  OhMiBod Remote, an intuitive interface that allows the creation of unlimited vibration patterns on the fly. Customers can download OhMiBod Remote at no cost from the iTunes and Play Stores.

In the article, OhMiBod founder Brian Dunham tells PCMag that once connected through the app, users can choose who to play with using in-app sexting capabilities.

“What's really shocking about OhMiBod's remote-control sexytimes is the legal hoops the company had to jump through to get there,” Segan said, referring to the restrictions set by existing teledildonics patents. The article notes the discontinuation of RealTouch, attributing it to a disagreement over licensing following a patent suit with “Hassex Inc.”

"There are some pretty tight patents around controlling sex toys over the Internet," Dunham told PCMag.com. "The patents got passed around. The people in control of the patent now, I'm working pretty closely with them."

OhMiBod equipped the lightweight, slimline blueMotion massager with a powerful motor that takes advantage of built-in smartphone features such as the accelerometer, touch screen and volume controls. blueMotion can also record ambient sound up to 60 seconds. It can be operated from anywhere around the world with a 3G or WiFi connection.
