TARZANA, calif. — Adult veteran Evan Stone will be taking the stage as the headliner of "Comedy Gang Bang," his first stand up comedy show at Paladino's Bar in Tarzana on April 24.
Stone’s comedy routine is based on his experiences as a performer in the adult industry. The performer is also the subject of a comedic documentary.
“Our first day of filming was a series of back-to-back interviews with performers, producers, and directors in the adult industry. We wanted to get their views on male talent — and more importantly, on Evan — so we could start shaping the story," one of the producers said.
He added, "One of the questions we asked was, ‘What do you think Evan would have done for a living if he hadn’t found porn?’ More than half of them said ‘comedian.' The rest said ‘used car salesman.' It seemed rather natural that we would dig more deeply into that.”
Mainstream comedians Joe Kwaczala, Chris Stephens and Joe McAdam are also scheduled to appear. The first act starts at 9 p.m. There is no cover charge and a live DJ will be playing before and after the show. The entire show will be filmed for use in the ongoing documentary surrounding Stone.
“Come out Thursday night. Bring your girlfriend. And her girlfriends. And neighbors. Bring your boss. And your mom. Maybe not your mom. Unless she’s hot. You can bring her if she’s hot. You know what? Definitely bring your mom,” Stone said.
Paladino’s Bar is located at 6101 Reseda Blvd., Tarzana, California, 91335. Doors open at 7 p.m.
