HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — XBIZ plans to ditch the role of the seminar moderator for its upcoming XBIZ Summit digital media conference in Miami.
Panel seminars at XBIZ Summit next month will be moderator-free in an effort to stimulate more spirited conversations among its special guest panelists.
Without a rigid structure and process, panelists will be free to intellectually roam and spur debate with fellow panelists and audience members about the issues that matter most.
"Seminars can become too predictable for industry pros, especially when it comes to recurring topics." said Moe Helmy, events director. "The moderator typically makes an introduction, asks panelists for a brief bio and presents a series of preset topics. Likewise, the panelists respond with their answers which tend to be somewhat predictable."
Helmy said that the pilot seminar format, which will begin with XBIZ Summit, seeks a more spirited, open and engaging debate.
"Our new format will allow our verbose guests to really weigh in with their hearts and minds without parameters," he said.
XBIZ Summit returns to Miami beachside at the plush Eden Roc hotel on May 13-16.
Converging modern and classic flair, Eden Roc is set to contribute to an unforgettable experience for attendees, complete with all-new outdoor mixers, beachfront networking, poolside cabanas, exclusive special events and other XBIZ Summit signature elements such as the next installment of its bikini contest.
For a limited time, members of XBIZ.net qualify for free or discounted show registration.
