LAS VEGAS – The spring edition of the International Lingerie Show drew to a close today with exhibitors praising the amount of new business created throughout the event’s three days.
Along with the usual festivities, the spring edition of ILS featured many exclusive special events, including Baci Lingerie’s biannual customer appreciation dinner, Coquette’s 35th year anniversary party, the Home Pleasure Party Plan Association’s Kink & Bondage Lab, and reality TV star Coco appearances, who signed autographs for a large crowd at Eldorado’s exhibitor booth and the Deja Vu Love Boutique.
Baci Lingerie debuted new collections as well as refined collections such as its After Dark line of hosiery. The company maintained its “b good” “b bad” theme with branding throughout the show, Baci Babe models, temporary tattoos and its split black and white booth.
“It represents both sides of a woman,” said Veronica Rajadnya, Baci’s social media manager.
The Holiday Products booth presented Mr. Nori Magic Gel’s new display – a fondue fountain with an attached video screen for showing an instructional movie by Alexander Institute.
“It’s been a great show,” Holiday Products’ Diana Fitzgerald said. “We’ve been visited by a lot of new retailers at this show. It’s great to see new businesses being established in our industry.”
According to Fitzgerald, the booth’s hottest brands included NS Novelties, Aneros, CalExotics’ Coco Licious line, and We-Vibe.
Megasol’s Rafi Maman had a brand new booth display and new collection of lubes called Eden.
“I studied every lube in the industry to create the best line,” he said. “It’s formulated in the U.S. in a FDA-approved lab with the help of an expert in homeopathic development. You really have to try it to believe it."
German-based Joydivision made its second appearance at a trade show following the launch of its U.S. branch.
“We’ve gotten great feedback so far,” Joydivision’s Immanuel Otterski said. “We’re in talks with some distributors. Our goal is to be more selective with our product portfolio in the U.S. – abroad we have a larger portfolio, but in the U.S. it will all be based on demand. All of our products will continue to be made in Germany to maintain the high quality that Joydivision is known for.”
Dressed as “Love Doctors,” the Sweet Spot team presented an ultra-feminine line of wipes, body washes and lubricants. According to Kimes, the brand’s bestselling product is its On the Go Wipe-Its, and is renown for its moisturizing qualities and all-natural formulas.
“Sweet Spot was created in Culver City, Calif., 10 years ago,” Sweet Spot’s Lucie Kimes said. “It was created by women, for women and is tested on women. We have a really loyal cult following.”
The International Lingerie Show is held twice a year at the Rio Hotel and Casino, in spring and fall. The next ILS will take place in September with dates to be announced.
