LOS ANGELES — The Adult Performer Advocacy Committee (APAC) announced it will hold a "Newbie Orientation" panel at 7 p.m. on April 6 in Silver Lake.
APAC asked performers to check with their LA-based testing center, email apac.information@gmail.com, or ask their agent for the exact address. In order to maintain focus on the questions and concerns of performers, this event is not open to the public or members of the press, the committee said.
APAC was formed to give adult performers organized representation in matters affecting talent health, safety, and community. The mission of APAC is to provide representation for performers in the adult film industry and to protect performers' rights to a safer and more professional work environment. The committee does this through educating each other and the greater community, development of ethical best practices, and fostering of solidarity.
Last month adult star Chanel Preston remarked, “Porn 101 is just the beginning in our endeavor to educate.”
