HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — AdamAndEve.com, one of the world's leading retailers of erotic sex toys and DVDs, recently asked women if they had a preference when it comes to a circumcised or uncircumcised penis.
More than 54 percent of the women polled said they prefer a circumcised penis, followed by 33 percent who had no preference. Only 3 percent of the female respondents said they prefer an uncircumcised penis. And nearly 10 percent of the women refused to answer.
"Circumcision is largely a cultural choice," said Dr. Kat Van Kirk, resident sexpert for AdamAndEve.com. "With circumcision prevalent in the U.S. (as well as the Muslim world, Africa and Israel), many American women have never been exposed to an uncircumcised penis."
"Adam & Eve encourages adults to explore their sexuality and educate themselves on everything from sexual health to pleasure enhancement," AdamAndEve.com Director of Marketing Chad Davis says. "From erotic toys to self-help books, AdamAndEve.com has a variety of accessories for every taste."
The web-based survey, conducted by an independent third party survey company, of more than 1,000 American adults age 18 and up, was sponsored by Adam & Eve to study sexual preferences and practices.
