BATH, U.K. — Lovehoney, a leading U.K.-based pleasure products company, will be the focus of a six-part documentary series “Frisky Business,” slated to air on Britain’s Sky Channel Lifetime beginning March 26 at 10 p.m.
The show penetrates the firm’s Bath headquarters, and, in one-hour installments, explores its different departments — from customer care to returns.
According to the Bath Chronicle, the “Frisky Business” followed Lovehoney staff for four months to develop a complete behind-the-scenes picture. The show also takes viewers along to the 2013 Bath Business Awards, where Lovehoney took home the Customer Service Award and Best Business Website.
“It’s a really fun thing to be involved with and a bit unusual,” Lovehoney co-Founder Richard Longhurst said. “It’s also really good for the Lovehoney profile.”
Longhurst explained, “From the outside looking in people assume we all swing from chandeliers naked. What comes across is that we are a genuine, warm, fun and happy place to work. It’s an interesting place to work with an unusual product area.”
Lovehoney made its TV debut in 2012 on Channel Four’s “More Sex Please, We’re British.”
Launched 12 years ago by Longhurst and Neal Slateford, the pair now employ 130 members of staff and send out more than 20,000 parcels per week to customers across Britain, the Bath Chronicle reported.
