LOS ANGELES — Pink Velvet, Smash Pictures’ forthcoming sister studio, has released details about its freshman title, “Secret Life of a Lesbian.”
Shot in HD, “Secret Life of a Lesbian” encapsulates Pink Velvet’s mission statement — to capture what many studios believe is an ever-growing number of female viewers, with an emphasis on high-end lesbian films.
Pink Velvet’s debut film casts Jessa Rhodes, Nikki Hearts, Sinn Sage, Ashlyn Molloy, Cassie Laine, Aidra Fox, Celeste Star and Ela Darling as women with repressed girl-on-girl fantasies, looking to take the “terrifying and exhilarating” plunge into reality.
The film description introduces the girls as their assumed personages, “Meet Nikki Hearts, a young queer girl who tells her family she likes girls, not boys. Or the case of Ashlyn, who discovers the joy of another woman while on a summer trip to Europe. Or Aidra, the gold digger, who ends up having sex with her man’s daughter. And, finally, the classic spoiled housewife who hooks up with an old friend that introduces her to the world of lesbian love.”
All Pink Velvet DVDs will be available to watch as an all-sex or storyline-intact version, Stuart Wall of Smash said.
Wall, Smash’s vice president of sales and production, also said the studio’s premiere release will be followed by films of diverse themes, including interracial, anal and teen.
