NEW YORK — Adult starlet Maryjean has been cast in filmmaker Joseph Patrick Conroy’s upcoming mainstream comedy project, "Don Blunderbuss: Private Dick," the performer announced.
Maryjean’s cameo in the film will be as a seductive cashier at a shoeshine parlor in the '70's period comedy.
“I so thrilled to be in my very first mainstream film, and ready to explore my comedic side,” Maryjean said. “But don’t worry — I plan on continuing my career in the adult industry. There are still so many things for me to do in XXX, and so many more people to turn on.”
The storyline is in the vein of Bob Chinn’s seminal "Johnny Wadd" series. Despite the theme and nature of the film, the producers said it is not an adult industry porn parody as no actual sex will take place in the film, but will instead be comically implied.
“I’m beyond excited to have Maryjean be a part of this film,” Conroy said. “As a Bronx native with Dominican heritage, she’ll fit snugly into the storyline, and her ample assets are tailor-made for the comedic aspects of the integral role. She’s gonna knock it outta the park."
An IndieGogo campaign will begin in the coming weeks to fund the production of the film.
Principal photography will commence this spring in New York City.
