VALENICA, Calif. — Southern California-based pleasure products company ShibariWands has introduced two flagship vibrators: the HALO and My Wand.
Launched last fall at the International Lingerie Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, Shibari Wands draw on the design and functionality of the classic wand-style vibrator, “and elevate it for a modern consumer audience,” a sales rep said.
“Wand-style vibrators have been popular throughout history and the Magic Wand-style vibrator in particular has had a long and very loyal following,” said Marina Fourier, Shibari Wands product development manager.
“We recognized the need to modernize the look and functionality, while making sure that price points were more reflective of a new millennium consumer market," she continued. "Our HALO and My Wands are much more affordable, lighter, sanitary and come with an improved motor and more speed options, which should appeal to everyone.”
The company also announced that a Valentine’s Day social media contest will be held on ShibariWands’ and Brand Ambassador Kelly Shibari’s Twitter and Facebook accounts this week, from Feb. 10–14. One HALO and one wireless My Wand 10X will be given away to two winners. For details, follow @ShibariWands and @KellyShibari on Twitter.
The Shibari HALO is a 10-speed, waterproof power massager, with a bendable neck and cushion-like massage head.
Wireless and rechargeable via a USB charger, the unit is encased in non-phthalate, FDA-approved silicone, making cleanup easy between uses. The Shibari HALO is available in pink and purple, with a tapered, white ABS handle.
Shibari My Wand sports a more traditional design — it comes in classic white with a six-foot cord, two speeds and bendable neck —but is offered at a fraction of the price of competitors currently on the market, the company says.
Shibari My Wand 10X is very similar, but comes in purple (from head to handle) and features ten speeds and vibration combinations. Both My Wand and My Wand 10X are available as wireless, rechargeable versions.
“When I saw Shibari Wands at the Fall ILS, I was immediately in love,” Kelly Shibari said. “I was obviously drawn to the product name, of course. Learning that not only do the wands come at a much more affordable price point, but the functionalities have been thoroughly modernized so it’s not just two speeds, made me like them all the more.”
Shibari added, “I’m particularly in love with the HALO — it’s wireless, and comes right out of the box with a 50 percent charge, which means I can use it right away without worrying about batteries or waiting for it to charge up.”
