LOS ANGELES — Depth Entertainment Family has announced that its February release, "Sexcapades of Lil Jacob," was inspired by the popular video game "Grand Theft Auto 4."
The movie, which will be available on Feb. 26, stars John E. Depth as his gun-running doppelgänger from GTA 4.
"It was crazy how many people contacted me to congratulate me for making it into GTA 4 when it was released," Depth said. "I didn't know what they meant until I saw the game's cover. The resemblance [to Little Jacob] is striking."
As a gamer himself, Depth directed this title as a tribute to the game designers and the fans of Nico's Rastafarian sidekick.
"It's already a pretty adult-themed game, so we thought we'd have fun with it and give the fans the parts of the characters' lives the game cuts away from," Depth added.
GTA's creator Rockstar Games, while not affiliated with Depth or his movie, has cozied up to adult actors before, featuring Jenna Jameson in "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City," and the voices of Misty Stone and Lisa Ann in GTA V, among others.
Depth Entertainment Family is owned by Depth, the veteran performer who has also produced titles such as "Spinal Tap," "Anacondas and Lil Mommas" and "Diaries of a Wife Gone Black." His movies are distributed by Juicy Entertainment.
