Tear2 had formerly been headquartered in Maryland, with technical operations in Virginia. Los Angeles-based OC3 Networks will immediately begin incorporating Tear2’s operations into its own. While billing and payment methods will be switched over, customers will be unaffected by the acquisition, a company spokesman said.
“We are extremely pleased with the acquisition of this very successful upstart,” OC3 Networks’ CEO Ilan Mishan said. “Tear 2’s excellent reputation is a huge benefit to OC3’s positioning within the adult industry.”
OC3 Networks has provided premium bandwidth, co-location and dedicated hosting solutions since 1999. The company operates two data centers and also offers bandwidth from tier one carriers like MCI.
“OC3 Networks is the ideal company to acquire Tear 2,” James Beckish, co-owner of Tear 2, said. “With their excellent reputation, financial stability and excellent leadership, the perfect trifecta if you will, we know we are putting our customers into the hands of consummate professionals who have the same high standards as we do. Through our extensive diligence, we concluded that there is no better fit for our customers.”
