LOS ANGELES — Veteran director David Lord and Rock Star Entertainment have been nominated in a number of categories for the 2014 XBIZ Awards.
The nods go to Rock Star’s “Trashy and T&A” with six nominations, including Best Director Non-Feature; Wicked Pictures' "Underworld" with 19 nominations, including Best Cinematography nomination, and “Bikini Outlaws” that received two nominations; and Sweet Mess Films’ “Breaking Bad’ which grabbed four nominations including Best Parody and Director Parody.
“People think I am with Adam & Eve or Wicked exclusively. I do work with both, and my work with Director Joshua, Rock Star Entertainment, is distributed by Adam & Eve," Lord said.
He added, "I am not, however, exclusive to either. I work for whoever has the right project for me. I also have shot for web companies like Naughty America, Gamma and others. I shoot camera for a lot of well-known directors, and I come with gear and lighting. I even edit. I am a complete package.”
Lord noted that although his work has been nominated in a number of categories, his Best Director nominations are the most self-gratifying.
“Every nomination is special obviously, but when you see your name alongside great directors individually, it definitely is extra special. It is an honor, truly, to be nominated alongside such other great talents,” Lord said.
Scheduled for Jan. 24 in Los Angeles, adult film superstar Jenna Jameson will be master of ceremonies for the 2014 XBIZ Awards, the industry's grandest gala to be held at the historic Century Plaza Hotel.
