SAN FRANCISCO — Bay Area porn company Pink & White Productions has grabbed multiple nominations in the 2014 XBIZ Awards, the company announced.
Pink & White's queer porn membership site CrashPadSeries.com has been nominated as Specialty Site of the Year category, and director Shine Louise Houston's “Occupied: a queer hardcore romance for the 99%” has received a nomination in the Feminist Porn Release of the Year category.
Additionally, PinkLabel's curated films “Lesbian Curves 2: Hard Femme” has been nominated for Feminist Porn Release of the Year and titles “Sexing” the “TransMan XXX Volume 3” and “Trans Grrrls: Porn Revolution Style Now!” have been nominated for Transsexual Release of the Year.
"I believe there’s a lot of room and need to create adult content that’s real, that’s respectful and powerful," Houston said.
"It's an industry milestone to see queer, independent porn recognized by XBIZ," added Online Marketing Director Jiz Lee. "It's both a reflection on the growth of our own company, and cultural influences within the adult industry. As a small company with a specific, queer audience, we appreciate the mainstream recognition from our peers."
Scheduled for Jan. 24 in Los Angeles, adult film superstar Jenna Jameson will be master of ceremonies for the 2014 XBIZ Awards, the industry's grandest gala to be held at the historic Century Plaza Hotel.
