Glasser, who plays himself, or rather his porn alter ego, Seymore Butts, said he enjoyed working with the director Guil on the film, which has been named as an Official Selection at the New York Independent Film Festival.
“Guil was great to work with, and I really enjoyed the whole process,” Glasser said. “I don't know how much acting I did, considering I was playing myself in the movie. But I am looking forward to seeing the final product and working with Guil again in the future.”
For his part, Guil, who also wrote and produced the feature, praised Glasser’s work.
"Adam is a natural actor,” Guil said. “He's got the looks and the understanding of emotional timing. I would love to work with Adam again preferably in a mainstream role as the lead. I think he's got the charm and charisma to carry a film. Adam has the lead in the next piece that I am working on, if he wants it."
The film is a mockumentary about a fictional porn star, Han Sum, who reaches mainstream celebrity status.
In part of the film, Sum shadows Glasser during the production of a Seymore Butts movie.
The film, which premiers at the Beverly Hills Fine Arts Theater Sept. 22 at 9 p.m., will also appear on IFC’s Media Lab.
