LOS ANGELES — Hotel heiress Paris Hilton told a TMZ reporter yesterday that she “never made a dollar” from her infamous sex tape, “1 Night in Paris.”
“I make enough money in nice ways,” she said as she was exiting LAX airport.
Kevin Blatt, who helped broker the original explicit footage of Hilton, told XBIZ that her claim is bogus.
“Paris, you’re worth a billion dollars now — own it,” Blatt said, explaining that Hilton did not initially intend to release the tape, but at some point signed off on it and reaped ample profits.
TMZ echoed Blatt’s skepticism. A source close to Hilton reportedly told the gossip site that she did indeed sign off on the tape in 2004, but funneled all of the profits to co-star Rick Salomon.
Hilton’s sex tape was recently rehashed in the media after she filed a cybersquatting complaint against ParisHiltonPornVideos.com, despite the fact that the site had been registered for 10 years.
“I don’t like people using my name to make money,” she said. “Especially in such a gross way.”
Premiering Friday on the ReelzChannel, “Celebrity Sex Tapes” is a TV doc that analyzes sex tape hall-of-famers Hilton, Kim Kardashian and others to answer “How did Hollywood celebrities become the biggest porn stars in the world? And are they victims — or willing participants?”
