VALENICA, Calif. — Girlfriends Films has received 48 nominations for the 2014 XBIZ Awards, reflecting what it calls a landmark year.
The Studio of the Year nominee dominated XBIZ’s all-girl categories, while Girlfriends Films’ directors and producers lent increased diversity to the nomination list, the company said.
Director of the Year nominee B. Skow collected 30 nominations, Tammy Sands’ movies received three, Viv Thomas received two, and Tasha Reign’s “Dear Diary… I Love Sex” earned another.
“Over the past couple of years, the addition of some very talented directors and producers has helped take Girlfriends Films in a new and exciting direction, as is evident by our XBIZ nominations,” Girlfriends Vice President Moose said. “We are extremely proud of the noms and extend our sincere thanks to the XBIZ staff and voters.”
Exclusive Girlfriends Films contract performer Prinzzess also received a nod for the inaugural Girl/Girl Performer of the Year award. The category honors the most passionate performers in lesbian erotica, many of whom are regularly featured in Girlfriends Films’ movies.
