HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — A special improvised comedy show fundraiser for director and artist Carlos Batts, who recently passed away, will debut on Nov. 30 at 11:30 p.m. PST at the iO West Comedy Theater at 6366 Hollywood Blvd, in Los Angeles.
Called “Glory Stories,” the producers said the show will present entertainment “inspired by the rawand brutally honest monologues and interviews provided by our special guest storytellers... all of whom are Los Angeles based professionals working in the adult entertainment, fetish, and kink industry."
Batts’ widow, April Flores, has been performing with Glory Stories since its first show
The organizers said the couples’ support, friendship, and creativity has meant the world to them and now they want to use the healing power of laughter to give back some of the love and kindness they’ve been shown.
Admission to the show is free, but proceeds from a raffle with prizes (including a special gift bag being donated by Mika Tan) will go to help Flores with medical and funeral expenses.
Joining Flores and the cast will be adult legend Nina Hartley, and performer Justine Joli.
In addition to the raffle and comedy show, there will be a full bar with give-aways and gifts.
