Brandon Shalton’s Blog Launches on XBIZ.com

LOS ANGELES — XBIZ.com, the leading web destination for adult industry news and information, unveiled a new blog on Wednesday. Brandon Shalton’s “Fight The Blog,” now part of the XBIZ blogosphere, will discuss technological implications and its impact on culture, business and politics.

“I’m a tech guy who creates software,” Shalton told XBIZ. “Tech issues impact so much of our daily lives; I want to explore how they help or hurt our businesses. Technology is the core of everything.”

Shalton has a history of passionate adult industry activism including establishing websites opposing the creation of the .XXX top-level domain name and the Acacia patent lawsuits. He also is the CEO of Cydata Services, creator of the T3 traffic analyzation software.

“Fight The Blog” joins XBIZ’s three other blogs that are updated multiple times per week.

XBIZ Senior Editor Stephen Yagielowicz’s “Stephen’s World” focuses on the working webmaster. Traffic Dude President Scott Rabinowitz’s “Traffic Commodities” takes a Wall Street-style approach on Internet traffic and Gram Ponante’s “Porn Valley Observed” examines the video production side in Ponante’s signature tongue-in-cheek style.

Shalton said the impetus behind the creation of his blog is to establish a static voice on important issues affecting the online adult industry.

“I lot of my thoughts have been posted on [adult webmaster board] GFY.com and the community has had some great discussions,” Shalton said. “But a lot of these very important issues ended up dying because it’s a message board and threads get bumped. My blog will be a platform to continue these discussions on one site in one forum.”

Shalton launched his blog with three posts, which discuss Internet companies using the DVD as another distribution method, new 2257 regulations, FairUse4WM that strips media content of its digital rights management license and the latest spate of lawsuits initiated by Titan Media.
