CineKink is an organization that recognizes and encourages the positive depiction of alternative sexuality in film and television, according to its website. The film festival’s screenings cover the topics of S & M, leather and fetish, swinging, non-monogamy, polyamory and gender bending. Its offerings range from drama to camp comedy to porn.
“O – The Power of Submission” will be screened at 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 21.
“Congratulations [to Adam & Eve] on a beautiful and hot reinterpretation of ‘O,’ CineKink organizer Lisa Vandever said. “The sets and visuals are truly stunning and [Adam & Eve has] done a superb job of transporting the story to a new setting and sensibility, while maintaining the essential elements that draws most of us to it in the first place.”
The original literary work tells the story of a Parisian fashion photographer whose fantasy is to be blindfolded, chained and whipped and made into a personal sex slave. Adam & Eve contract star Carmen Luvana plays the title role of O.
The setting of the movie has been updated to take place in modern-day Los Angeles and it was shot on location in the Hollywood home of famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
“This is a particularly great honor,” Director Ernest Greene said. “CineKink is a much-respected forum that has honored both mainstream and adult pictures, along with short subjects and documentaries that portray unconventional sexuality in a positive and or revealing light. It maintains high standards for acceptance and it’s extremely exciting to be chosen for exhibition at such an event — all the more so for a 160-minute triple-x feature.”
In addition to Luvana, the cast includes Kylie Ireland, Shayla LaVeaux, Justine Jolie, Adrianna Nicole, Claire Adams, Angeles Black, Evan Stone and Tommy Gunn. Greene’s wife Nina Hartley makes an appearance in a non-sex role as Marie, the older, wiser choreographer of the sexual action taking place in her estate.
The DVD will be available for a limited time in a deluxe collector’s package, which includes the two-disc set and a bonus gift. The movie’s trailer is available at OthePowerOfSubmission.com.
