According to Mandi Michaels, who has starred in 24 movies for Platinum in addition to performing duties as vice president, Shine contacted the company about helping on the upcoming season of “Sin Cities,” a TV show dedicated to different aspects of adult entertainment.
"We're hoping to base the new show around the theme of a real amateur porn company using real couples,” Shine assistant producer Cat Hoskin said.
Hoskin said she hoped that Platinum could provide interviews, access to adult shoots and technical and anecdotal background information about the amateur segment of the industry.
"We are so excited about the prospect of partnering up with Shine Limited for this series,” Michaels said. “It would not only open up a large market, that we not normally reach, but it would be a real kick to work with Ashley [Hames] and the rest of the crew. Doing a TV documentary with them should be extremely interesting as a whole different side of the entertainment industry will be revealed. I'm not sure if Maine is ready for this, but we're sure looking forward to this adventure.”
In addition to producing “Sin Cities” for Bravo in the U.K., Shine is also responsible for “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,” which also is available in the U.S.
