Pulse will distribute an all-new line of Penthouse and Jill Kelly DVDs aimed at the holiday consumer, Marc Bell, Penthouse Media CEO, told XBIZ.
Penthouse purchased the Jill Kelly Productions library through a bankruptcy court auction in April for $1.765 million. Bell said that Penthouse plans to release new titles under the Jill Kelly brand that will be produced in Penthouse’s new Glendale, Calif. production facility.
“We’re back in the production business,” Bell said, adding that the company’s choice to work with Pulse was based on their reputation. “Jim Kohls has a tremendous track record, and we have a lot of faith and confidence in their team."
Pulse will distribute 12 Jill Kelly titles per year and 36 Penthouse titles, Bell said, including Penthouse Variations, a fetish and alternative line, Penthouse Forum, a sexually informative and interactive line, and Penthouse Letters, which is scheduled for a November release.
“We’re very excited about the opportunity to work alongside such a respected company as Penthouse,” Kohls said. “Marc Bell and his team have reinvigorated the Penthouse brand, and we are certain to receive a huge level of interest from our customers for all the high-end adult series that Penthouse releases.”
