LOS ANGELES — Vivid Entertainment is hot for Tori Spelling — at least as far as her sex tape is concerned.
TMZ reported today that Vivid Chairman Steven Hirsch sent Spelling a letter asking if she was interested in selling the tape to his studio.
Hirsch got wind of the tape's existence from Spelling’s new book where she revealed that she recorded a sex tape with her husband Dean McDermott on Valentine's Day 2009. And according to TMZ, one of Dean's "friends" also has a copy.
“If the tape is genuine, Vivid would like to make you a substantial offer to acquire it,” Hirsch wrote in the letter.
Part of Vivid’s offer is to help Spelling with the reported financial problems plaguing her and her husband.
But Hirsch said he wants to see some footage before he makes any deal.
Based on "Teen Mom” Farrah Abraham’s reported six figure Vivid celebrity sex tape deal, and considering her Hollywood pedigree, speculation is that Spelling could earn substantially more.
There was no word on whether Spelling will entertain Vivid's offer.
