LOS ANGELES — The Pleasure Chest has teamed up with Hollywood Moroccan-themed restaurant Acabar for an “erotically tinged” Halloween celebration said to feature “titillating interactive entertainment, suggestive nibbles and saucy cocktails.”
On Thursday, Oct. 31, the Acabàr Masked Gala will offer attendees sensual bites created by Chef Octavio Becerra, and a saucy complimentary cocktail from Acabàr mixologists Josh Goldman and Julian Cox.
“Aurally pleasuring party-goers will be music goddess DJ Heidi, known for her organic and infectious beats, while around them, guests can expect a swirling tableau of live performers,” the company says. “Expect to be awed by stilt walkers as they wind their way through the crowd, and enjoy a daring performance by skilled fire dancers. Admire the kinky antics of a well-trained pony player and her master.
“Those who prefer something more interactive can head over to the rope station to be put in an intricate decorative tie. Bolder guests can even join Ian MacKinnon and Kate Gilbert, L.A.-based artists and darlings of the queer underground, in an interactive performance inspired by the films of legendary experimental filmmakers Jack Smith and Andy Warhol and by Stanley Kubrick's 1999 classic Eyes Wide Shut.”
Acabàr is located at 1510 Stanley Ave. at Sunset Blvd. The Masked Gala begins at 8 p.m. and ends at 2 a.m. Admission is $50 and the first 50 guests will receive gift bags from The Pleasure Chest.
