ONTARIO — Intimate Organics acted as a supporter of this year's Alex's Lemonade Stand Golf Tournament.
The Alex's Lemonade Stand foundation raises money and awareness for causes of childhood cancer. It also funds research to develop new treatments.
Intimate Organics donated more than $1,000 of its lubricants and enhancing gels to the event's silent auction and gave away goody bags to participating golfers in order to encourage increased attendance and, ultimately, increased funds.
"Thanks so much to Intimate Organics' support for our charity golf tournament,” Co-Chairman Kris Zimmerman said. “It’s companies like yours that keeps us raising money to fight childhood cancer. It was a great turn out and everyone enjoyed the samples in their goodie bags."
Rebecca Powley, Intimate Organics' director of new business development, said: "This was the first children's charity that we have participated in, and it was really exciting to know that we were helping to make a difference.
Powley says that Intimate Organics is already planning on participating in the event again next year.
