ASACP Announces Featured Sponsors of the Month

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has named its three Featured Sponsors for October, in recognition of the supporters that assist the association in performing its ongoing task.

According to ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning, by adopting the Restricted To Adults (RTA) website label, which works with parental and other online content filtering controls to bar minors from accessing age-inappropriate materials, and using the ASACP Code of Ethics and its market-specific Best Practices, online organizations can do their part to help preserve the innocence of youth.

“ASACP’s Sponsor Recognition Program honors those companies that have demonstrated a willingness to put child protection ahead of profits,” Henning said. “Doing the right thing, and upholding the highest ethical and operational standards, distinguishes many of ASACP’s Sponsors from their competitors, as these business owners set an example that is worthy of being followed by their peers.”

Part of this commitment involves financial and other material support for ASACP. For October, ASACP recognizes several of its longest standing Sponsors: XBIZ, AVN and TheDatingNetwork.com (SexSearch).

A Platinum Sponsor since 2002, XBIZ has a long relationship with ASACP, as both groups share the same founder, Alec Helmy. XBIZ is the adult industry’s leading publisher of business news and information, providing up-to-the-minute coverage of the industry at XBIZ.com and in three trade publications — XBIZ World for the digital media market, XBIZ Premiere for the retail market and XBIZ Sensuals for the intimate products market. In addition, XBIZ hosts five annual trade events including the industry’s top awards show of the year, the XBIZ Awards. XBIZ is frequently cited in the media for coverage of the industry and has been published in CNN, Fox News, Newsweek, MSNBC, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, Wired, CNET, ABC, USA Today and Los Angeles Times among others. Setting a responsible example for the industry, the XBIZ.com website uses the RTA tag to prevent minors from getting an unintended eyeful. The company has also extended numerous niceties to the association; including support for our attendance at its many events, such as the provision of accommodations, advertising and exhibit space. XBIZ also hosted a fundraiser for ASACP and the Free Speech Coalition at its annual awards show, illustrating the range of support that our valued Sponsors provide us.

Another Platinum Sponsor since 2002 that also boasts a long heritage of support for ASACP is the AVN Media Network.

According to the company, for more than 27 years it has been the definitive source for all that is adult entertainment, covering the evolution and growth of what is today a dynamic multi-billion dollar a year global industry. The most influential leaders in the adult industry turn to AVN for timely, credible and straightforward news and analysis — information vital to their professions. AVN’s industry stats and reports have been published in Variety, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Detroit Free Press, Los Angeles Times, ABC, CBS, NBC, KTLA, FOX and many more. AVN continues to set the standard for the business of pleasure by delivering unparalleled content that reaches industry professionals, mainstream media, and across diverse spectrums of consumer groups and communities.

AVN utilizes RTA labeling as a proactive, protective measure and has also been supportive of the association, extending its hospitality at AVN events, such as providing advertising services and underwriting hotel accommodations.

An ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2005,TheDatingNetwork affiliate program helps adult and mainstream website publishers monetize their visitors, via portals such as SexSearch.com. According to the company, it provides affiliates with everything that they need to turn their traffic into money. With more than eight years of experience in the industry and a committed staff that is dedicated to providing affiliates with the best customer support possible, as well as the tools that they need in order to succeed, these award winning dating sites provide many entrepreneurs with an entry point into the casual relationship industry

. “XBIZ, AVN and TheDatingNetwork serve as examples of the corporate leadership shown by today’s top flight adult entertainment companies — taking the lead in proactive industrial self-regulation and uplifting the family friendliness of the Internet, while serving the demands of consenting adults — and inspiring others to follow in their footsteps,” ASACP said.
