LAS VEGAS – The International Lingerie Show officially kicked off today with its customary broad range of exhibitors and buyers from around the world.
Tyes.by.tara exhibited at ILS with a rebranded booth showcasing its Entyece range, which according to tyes.by.tara founder Tara Christine was designed specifically for the adult market.
“I wanted to segment the collections,” Christine said. “I’d been hearing from some buyers that tyes.by.tara is ‘too young,’ so this allows us to target the adult market as well as accessory boutiques.”
Entyece features a variety of chokers, neckties, nipple rings, earrings and lingerie accessories that range from fetish-inspired lamé to feminine lace. The collection also includes gift sets, including the Santa Suit Gift Set that contains festive nipple rings and a matching leg garter in time for the holiday season, Christine said. The company marked the launch with an appearance by 2012 Penthouse Pet of the Year Jenna Rose at its booth.
LELO CEO Pavle Sedic told XBIZ he decided to attend ILS last minute, booking a flight the day before the show.
“It’s a great place to meet and reconnect with people,” Sedic said. “I try to attend as much as I can.”
East Coast News unveiled the new Embrace collection by CalExotics, which is exclusive to ECN for its initial launch. The distributor also exclusively premiered Tantus’ new range of “Connoisseur” harnesses, which are constructed from leather and available in five designs.
Eldorado returned to ILS with its massive booth and reps from various vendors.
“This is our favorite show,” Eldorado CEO and founder Larry Garland said. “It’s always our best, and a great opportunity for us to see our vendors and customers.”
ECN also presented Baci’s entry into the pleasure products category – the Minx Shiri Zinn for Baci – a co-branded designer vibe adorned with Swarovski Crystals and a removable, decorative tail made from natural feathers.
Revel Body exhibited at ILS for the first time as an “officially launched” brand and with new accessories for its sonic vibrator. The company revealed four new attachments and a carrying case, and teased the upcoming release of new designs.
“Revel Body’s been doing very well,” Revel Body’s Melissa Drott said. “It’s now being sold at many adult retailers like Babeland and Castle Megastore, and we’re getting ready to close in on Brookstone.”
XGEN displayed products within its dedicated booth as well as staffing Baci Lingerie’s main and satellite booths. Among its new products on display were the Lapdance Lingerie bikini and garter separates, which also introduce new colors into the clubwear range. The company also debuted a new addition to its Bodywand range, the Aqua – which features 64 massage and power combinations while being fully submersible.
“Everybody’s really excited about the Aqua,” XGEN’s Chris Lerner said. “With it being 100 percent submersible, powerful and at such a great price point, it’s been the main attraction.”
OVO North America Account Executive Dana DiValli manned the company’s custom designed and lit booth at ILS.
“This is the second time OVO has exhibited at ILS since our initial debut,” DiValli said. “It’s great because we’re now hearing everybody’s success stories.”
Sexual enhancement supplement Rock On made a comeback at ILS as a daily supplement containing electrolytes, vitamins and testosterone boost. Sobo Products President Keith Caggiano said that Rock On will appeal to health-conscious consumers.
“It’s a different concept,”Caggiano said. “We’re building a new vibe at this show because this is something that nobody’s done before.”
