OGDEN, Utah — Tantus Controller and resident triathlete Dan Morales will be participating in the upcoming 2013 XTERRA Nationals at the Snowbasin Resort in Ogden, Utah.
Roughly 1,500 of the nation’s best amateur and professional triathletes and trail runners will travel to Snowbasin to compete for the reputed title, XTERRA National Champion.
Morales is one of only 18 athletes who was invited to participate in this year’s XTERRA from the Northern Nevada region and will be competing against the top 50 sportsmen in the nation specified in his category.
“I never suspected that I would qualify for the XTERRA national,” he said before packing his gear for the trip. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to compete with top athletes from around the nation and I’m thankful for all the support Tantus has given me.”
After competing in five triathlons this past year, and taking first place in the Ultra Relay at Expedition Man, Morales will have completed six triathlons in 2013.
The Tantus team refers to Morales as “super human.”
The 2013 XTERRA National will be held on the weekend of Sept. 21-22.
