VALENCIA, Calif. — Girlfriends Films has released a softcore trailer for B. Skow’s dark, drama-laden boy/girl feature “Dadd’y Girl’s.”
Pushing nearly five minutes, the softcore clip doesn’t spare any of the salaciousness (or bare breasts) intrinsic to the film, which tackles the taboo subjects of incest, cancer, infidelity “and even devirginizing a blind girl,” director Skow said.
“Daddy’s Girls,” written by David Stanley, follows the story of Samantha (Maddy O’Reilly), a blind 18-year-old girl who falls into an illicit affair with her father’s best friend, Bob (Alec Knight), after he forcibly takes her virginity. When he puts an end to their relationship, she attempts suicide and is sent to a psych ward for treatment.
However, the plot thickens in a spirit typical of Greek drama: Bob’s troubled daughter Quincy (Riley Reid) is also pining for him — and goes to extreme means to achieve her conquest, in between stints as a camgirl.
“Here’s to happier families and better days ahead,” Bob’s best friend Dale (Evan Stone) says in the trailer.
“We may be crossing the line,” Skow said in a new behind-the-scenes documentary about the making of the film. “If I’m making an adult film, I like to do anything that you wouldn’t possibly do in a regular film and try to incorporate it into a story. It’s hard to tell a good sex story when everyone’s happy. You can do a love story, but I like the darker themes. There’s a lot more you can do with it; a lot more sexually, a lot more perverted.”
“Daddy’s Girls” also stars Odile, Darla Crane and Capri Cavanni in emotionally charged supporting roles.
The film is slated to release on DVD in late Sept. It is the newest title to be released under the distribution deal between Skow and Girlfriends Films, which includes the first boy/girl sex movies ever distributed by the once-exclusively lesbian studio. Previous titles produced via the partnership include “Paint,” “Voila,” “Homecoming,” “Truth Be Told,” and “What Do You Want Me to Say?”
