NORTH KOREA — North Korean leader Kim-Jong-un’s ex-girlfriend was reportedly executed by a firing squad last week for making and selling porn videos.
According to the South Korean newspaper Chosun Ilbo, singer Hyon Song-wol and 11 other people were arrested on Aug. 17 for violating North Korea's laws against porn and executed by a machinegun gun firing squad three days later.
"They were executed with machine guns while the key members of the Unhasu Orchestra, Wangjaesan Light Band and Moranbong Band as well as the families of the victims looked on," a source told the paper.
Song-wol was a member of the Unhasu Orchestra.
The victims' families have also been shipped off to prison camps, as is the country’s guilt by association stance, according to the source.
Some of the alleged porn tapes reportedly also made their way to China.
The affair between the dictator and Song-wol reportedly began approximately 10 years ago, before he was married, but was put to a stop by Jong-un’s father Kim Jong-il. Kim Jong-un's wife, Ri Sol-ju, was also a member of the Unhasu Orchestra before their marriage but it’s unclear as to whether she had anything to do with the executions.
