HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — Sportsheets has been named to the 2013 Inc. 5000 an honor granted to the “fastest growing private entities in the country.”
“This is huge news for us as we continue to break glass ceilings in mainstream publications,” the company said, noting earlier coverage in Bloomberg, BusinessWeek and the Orange County Business Journal.
The Inc. 500|5000 ranks the fastest-growing companies by industry, metro area, revenue, and number of employees, and highlights women- and minority- run companies.
Sportsheets quoted Inc. in its announcement: “Make no mistake, Inc. says the Inc. 5000 was harder to get into this year than ever in history. The median company on the list increased sales more than 140 percent since the start of 2010, while the average honoree grew a mind-boggling 468 percent. Those are results most companies could only dream of n the economy of the past three years.”
As an Inc. 5000 honoree, Sportsheets now shares a pedigree with Intuit, Zappos, under Armour, Microsoft, Jamba Juice, Timberland, Clif Bar, Pandora, Patagonia, Oracle, and dozens of other notable recent alumni, the company said.
“In addition to Sportsheets International, the 2013 list added such powerhouses as Alex and Ani, LivingSocial, Bojangles, OtterBox, and KT Tape.”
Sportsheets is hitting the fall trade show circuit next month with a series of promotions for the International Lingerie Show (ILS), CatalystCon West and eroFame.
