LOS ANGELES — Adult performer Alicia Tyler has passed away, her agency CST Management confirmed Thursday.
Trevor Wilson, CEO of CST Management, said that Tyler's mother found her at their home in Victorville, Calif., on Sunday. She died in her sleep at the age of 27.
Tyler performed in more than 30 adult movies between 2006-09 and also was a budding author and director.
"Her mother at their Victorville home found Alicia Tyler unresponsive on Sunday evening, when she had been resting in her bed from an earlier nap," according to a statement released by Wilson. "Alicia’s mother performed CPR until emergency services arrived whom after attempts to revive her pronounced Alicia dead at the scene."
The statement continued, "A lot of speculation has been spreading that she died of some type of drug overdose but that information has not been substantiated in any way. Alicia has been in and out of the hospital over the past few months with severe stomach issues and breathing problems.
"For those who knew Alicia personally are aware that she has long suffered from bad asthma, which coupled with her more recent other medical issues are the likely cause of her untimely passing. All of us here at CST Management and subsidiaries are shocked and devastated by her death. She was a true bright star in our media development division.
"Alicia was in the midst of a career revival with the release of her upcoming biography as well as her new adult web-based drama series due out in January 2014. I, Trevor Wilson, as CEO would like to express not only mine, but that of everyone here at CST Global/Management’s condolences to her family and to all those with heavy hearts in the wake of her passing."
Wilson indicated that CST would be starting a trust for Tyler's 4-year-old daughter.
"And we implore all those who know her and love her to contribute to this trust," he said. "CST Global will match all contributions made with any profits from her stellar work with the company. Alicia has always said to me that flowers and things are great, but she would rather see that money go to funding the education and bright future for her amazing daughter."
A funeral viewing for Tyler will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 21 at McKay’s High Desert Funeral Home Memorial Chapel located at 14444 Seventh St., Victorville, 92392. The service will be Aug. 22 at 11 a.m. at the same place.
