NEW YORK — In a recent interview with Fox News, Sydney Leathers said Vivid made her a tempting offer for a follow-up sex tape, but she has decided to pursue other avenues of opportunity.
“They did offer, and I can’t say specifics, but they offered enough of money where this was something I considered. I wouldn’t do it now,” she told interviewer Diana Falzone.
Leathers’ sexting dalliance with New York mayoral hopeful Anthony Weiner led to her solo masturbation shoot “Weinergate” via Vivid earlier this month.
But self-described politico Leathers envisions a future apart from the porno business, and mentioned broadcast journalism as a viable option.
“I volunteered with a radio service for eight years,” she said. “It was a program called the Radio Information Service. There are some talks of me co-hosting a radio show; maybe some political blogging.”
When Falzone asked Leathers about her possible comparison with other Vivid sex tape stars like Kim Kardashian and Farrah Abraham, the latter differentiated herself by insisting that she had no intention of using her relationship with Weiner for financial gain. She also noted that her communications with Weiner stemmed from her political, not sexual, awe for him.
“I don’t think Farrah Abraham cares about politics,” she said.
Previously on the Sean Hannity’s Fox News show, Leathers explained that she has no regrets about her shoot with Vivid and believes a culture of “slut-shaming” attempts to make women feel guilty for their sexual choices.
